This report on applicants and matriculants uses data from the AACOMAS application to summarize categories and geographic regions. Key findings from 2023 include:

HRSA Category (2023)

  • English is not my primary language:
    • 2,404 applicants (10.52%), 750 matriculants (8.43%)
  • I participated in an academic enrichment program:
    • 245 applicants (1.07%), 69 matriculants (0.78%)
  • Your parent's family income falls within the taxable threshold for federal or state assistance:
    • 4,212 applicants (18.43%), 1,327 matriculants (14.91%)
  • I am from a family that receives public assistance:
    • 3,642 applicants (15.94%), 1,133 matriculants (12.73%)
  • I am from a school district where 50% or fewer graduates go to college:
    • 2,124 applicants (9.30%), 684 matriculants (7.69%)
  • I am the first generation in my family to attend college:
    • 4,016 applicants (17.58%), 1,260 matriculants (14.16%)
  • I graduated from a high school where many students are eligible for free or reduced lunch:

  • I graduated from a high school from which a low percentage of graduates go to college:
