AACOM was a founding organizational member of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative, and participated in the development of the IPEC Core Competencies and other tools and offers educational institutes both virtually and in-person to help interprofessional teams from AACOM’s member COMs and other programs develop their IPE programs.

Interprofessional Professionalism Collaborative

The Interprofessional Professionalism Collaborative, of which AACOM is a member, provides a validated assessment of interprofessional behaviors, and has video cases that you can use to help your students assess and improve interprofessional communication and other team behaviors.

Med Ed PORTAL

With funding from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, the Association of American Medical Colleges launched a MedEdPORTAL Interprofessional Education Collaborative Collection in support of IPEC’s work. Sonia J. Crandall, PhD, MS, Professor, Wake Forest School of Medicine, has been named Associate Editor for the IPE Collection.

Cecilia Rokusek, EdD, RD, Executive Director of Education, Planning and Research, Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, is AACOM’s representative on the MedEdPORTAL-IPEC Advisory Committee, which provides strategic planning and guidance for the initiative.
