Hosted by members of the AOGME Residents and Fellows Council (RFC) and AACOM's Council on Residency Placement (CORP), this Transitions in Medical Education educational session highlights strategies and tips for navigating the residency application, interview and match processes. In this session, current residents, COM advisors and a former residency program coordinator share their personal experiences with the residency application process, including how they navigated the application, interview and match processes. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and firsthand experiences shared by residents who have successfully navigated the residency match process, as well as tips from COM advisors and a former residency program coordinator.
Goals and Objectives
- Share practical tips and strategies employed by residents during the residency application process
- Highlight successful interview techniques and approaches that led to positive match outcomes for current residents
- Discuss lessons learned, including what worked well and what adjustments were made for achieving a successful match outcome
