AACOM celebrates the appointment of Lisa Nash, DO, MS-HPEd, to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)'s Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry (ACTPCMD). Nominated by AACOM, Dr. Nash will serve a three-year term, joining Brookshield Laurent, DO, as the second osteopathic physician on the committee. AACOM President and CEO Robert A. Cain, DO, praised Dr. Nash’s extensive experience in graduate medical education, rural medicine and primary care obstetrics, emphasizing her valuable contributions to advancing primary care policy recommendations. Dr. Nash is currently the interim dean at the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. The ACTPCMD provides policy recommendations to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, helping to guide federal funding and program development in primary care and dentistry.
