Join AACOM in elevating the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Reauthorization Act (S.3679/H.R. 7153), a bipartisan, bicameral bill, endorsed by AACOM, that seeks to reduce and prevent suicide, burnout and mental and behavioral health conditions among healthcare professionals. The bill would reauthorize grant programs and a national evidenced-based education and awareness campaign. Since enacted in 2022, the bill has provided $100 million in funding for mental healthcare services for providers across the country, including a grant awarded to AACOM. But this funding will expire at the end of the year if the legislation is not reauthorized before the close of the 118th Congress. Tell Congress to cosponsor S. 3679/H.R. 7153 and pass the legislation by the end of 2024! |
