Apply to AACOM OHPI Program: Applications are now being accepted for AACOM’s Osteopathic Health Policy Internship Program! The OHPI Program affords osteopathic medical students the opportunity to learn about and advance AACOM’s legislative and regulatory advocacy priorities. The program is open to current second- and third-year osteopathic medical students. Apply by February 21, 2025. Learn more. |
Apply to HRSA’s Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently announced their Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) Program, which funds schools that train health professions students in specific disciplines. Schools make scholarships available to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The FY25 application cycle is now open through February 19, 2025. Learn more and apply. |
Join the AACOM Talent Bank to Be Considered for Federal Nominations: AACOM encourages members of the OME community to join our Talent Bank or update your information to be considered for nominations to federal advisory committees to increase the voice of the osteopathic medical profession. The Talent Bank is also used to identify candidates for national boards and task forces, media representatives and mentors. Your registration demonstrates your interest, but AACOM will obtain your approval prior to nomination or media outreach. Register today. |
NIH Minority Health and Health Disparities Virtual Town Halls: Individuals, healthcare clinicians, researchers and community advocates are invited to share their lived experiences, perspectives and ideas on how NIH can continue to improve minority health and reduce health disparities at a town hall on December 6, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 PM ET. Register. Participants are also encouraged to provide input for the NIH Minority Health and Health Disparities Strategic Plan, 2026-2030, by December 31. Access the online form. |
