As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday season in the coming weeks, AOGME leadership would like to extend our warmest wishes to you, your colleagues and your families. AACOM Announces Inaugural GME Development Fellows

AACOM is excited to introduce the inaugural cohort of our Graduate Medical Education (GME) Development Fellowship, developed in partnership with the University of North Carolina Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research! This 10-month program brings together 32 fellows dedicated to expanding GME opportunities, particularly in community-based and underserved areas. Through expert-led sessions, hands-on projects and collaboration with national leaders, fellows will gain the skills needed to advance medical education and healthcare access where it is needed most. AACOM Submits Comments for the ACGME Sponsoring Institution Proposed Rule Changes

AACOM recently submitted comments for the ACGME Sponsoring Institution proposed rule changes. These comments reflect feedback gathered from our AOGME members who shared their perspectives on the proposed changes. We are grateful for all contributors who took the time to submit their insights and suggestions, highlighting the collaborative effort within the osteopathic medical community to shape the standards governing GME.

Save the Date! ACGME/AOGME Osteopathic Recognition Full-Day Course, February 20, 2025

AOGME is again partnering with the ACGME to deliver the Osteopathic Recognition (OR) Full-Day Course at the 2025 ACGME Annual Educational Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on February 20, 2025. This course is designed to support programs supports programs with OR and those considering OR. It includes sessions with leadership and residents from OR programs, followed by insights from the Osteopathic Recognition Committee on the recognition process and application of requirements. ACGME Transitional Year Review Committee: Resident Positions

Nominate one of your Transitional Year residents to help shape training standards by serving on the ACGME Transitional Year Review Committee!
