Breanne Jaqua, DO, MPH: AOGME RFC Founding Member

Breanne Jaqua, DO, MPH, is an exemplary leader in the osteopathic profession, having served as the former Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP) National Chair and as a founding member of the AOGME Residents and Fellows Council (RFC). Within AACOM, Dr. Jaqua was a member of the first phase of the UME-GME Task Force leading efforts to prepare Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (COMs) and osteopathic medical students for the single match in 2020. She has consistently led and served the osteopathic profession including as a Resident Representative to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and the Executive Board of Directors with the Northwest Ohio Osteopathic Association.

Throughout her residency journey, Dr. Jaqua held positions as the Vice Chair of the Council of Review Committee Residents and as a member of the Emergency Medicine Review Committee with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), as well as an ex- officio member on the Board of Directors with the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association.

Dr. Jaqua continues to advance osteopathic education in academic medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Education Department at A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona while also working clinically in urgent care. Her dedication to the profession has not gone unnoticed, with Dr. Jaqua recently awarded the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association's Emerging Leader Award. Dr. Jaqua continues to pave the way for her peers as Chair of the ACGME's Council of Review Committee Residents, and as a voting member of the ACGME Board of Directors, being the first osteopathic and emergency medicine physician to hold this position within the ACGME. The AOGME stands proudly, cheering on Dr. Breanne Jaqua in her career endeavors and thanking her for her role in establishing the AOGME Residents and Fellows Council.
