- Recognizing that community health centers provide primary healthcare to nearly 30 million people in 14,000 neighborhoods across the country, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee held a hearing entitled Community Health Centers: Saving Lives, Saving Money on March 2, 2023. Community health center funding expires on September 30, 2023, unless Congress takes action to extend it.
