The Assembly of Osteopathic Graduate Medical Educators (AOGME) will be hosting a webinar on Institutional Review Boards on Wednesday, July 31, 4:00 PM ET. Presented by Mark R. Speicher, PhD, MHA, and Suporn Sukpraprut-Braaten, MSc, MA, PhD, the webinar will focus on Institutional Review Board’s (IRB) responsibilities and duties, and how to most effectively prepare for and shepherd research projects through the IRB process.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Understanding the history and purpose of IRBs
  • Developing deeper insight into the role and importance of the IRB in the research process
  • Possessing the tools to develop an IRB application and the elements necessary for completion
  • Preparing to navigate common concerns and questions for the IRB about both clinical and medical education topics
