Cassandre Perard, DO is an assistant professor of family medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She also serves as the Telehealth Medical Director and the Family Medicine Inpatient Service Director. Dr. Perard received her medical degree from Touro College of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016, then she did her family medicine residency in Authority Health in Michigan.
Dr. Perard is dedicated to serving Augusta, an urban area where more than 44,000 residents live at or below the poverty level according to the U.S. Census Bureau, striving to mitigate health disparities in a community that greatly needs it. Academically, Dr. Perard is passionate about teaching and mentoring, both in her roles as an academic hospitalist, where she works closely with residents and fellows, and as an academic advisor for the medical school.
Dr. Perard has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her medical career, both during her residency and as an attending physician. As a chief resident and Resident Representative for Wayne County, Michigan, she served as a Delegate for the Michigan Osteopathic Association and was a founding member of the AOGME Residents and Fellows Council. Her leadership continued to flourish at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), where she was not only a senator on the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, but also served as its secretary. Dr. Perard has been actively involved on several committees, including the CPR Committee and Rapid Response Committee. Her roles as Chair of the MCG Faculty Recognition Committee and her participation in the MCG Promotion Guideline Workgroup and the MCG Strategic Planning Community Workgroup further underscore her leadership skills. Additionally, as Co-Chair of the Standard Admission Diagnosis Task Force.
