2020-2021 Academic Year Entering Student Survey Summary Report

Each year, AACOM collaborates with the nation's colleges of osteopathic medicine (COMs) to distribute the AACOM Entering Student Survey. The Entering Student Survey queries first-year students on a variety of topics and compiles a comprehensive snapshot of students’ self-reported debt and financing of medical education, and their graduate medical education plans. The survey asks students to outline their plans for graduate medical education (GME), specialty selection, and career. A total of 6,661 expected 2020 first-year students responded to the survey from 36 COMs and branch campuses.
