This educational session hosted by the AOGME Residents and Fellows Council (RFC) aims to educate residents on moonlighting policies, providing general understanding and guidance on this issue during residency and following residency. The webinar also highlights a current resident’s perspective on moonlighting.
Goals and objectives:
- Describe and discuss what moonlighting is
- Understand general moonlighting policies for GME, including what residents should be aware of if considering moonlighting
- Discuss what options residents have for moonlighting and what these options depend on
- Describe what, if any, legal considerations there are for moonlighting during residency
- Discuss any considerations for moonlighting pertaining to specific specialties, such as specialties that do not allow moonlighting
