A cornerstone of this effort is the Physician Core Competencies course, which dives into topics like medical ethics, professionalism, personal well-being and social determinants of health.

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine South Georgia Campus (PCOM South Georgia) students enjoyed handing out candy and other goodies to children as they joined in the festivities of downtown Moultrie, Georgia, at the annual Festival of Lights parade to celebrate the holiday season on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The parade circles the courthouse square under Moultrie’s Canopy of Lights, a tradition since 1939 of stringing Christmas lights from the top of the Colquitt County Courthouse down across the streets to rooftops of stores for two city blocks in each direction. The Simbulance, a mobile medical unit with life-sized adult and pediatric mannequins used to train students, was part of the PCOM South Georgia parade entry.
