AACOM Attends NCCIH Coalition for Whole Person Health Kickoff Meeting

On Friday, November 1, 2024, AACOM’s Associate Director of Government Relations Trey Hines attended Coalition Research Outreach and Education Day as part of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH)’s Coalition for Whole Person Health. The meeting included opening remarks from Helene Langevin, MD, director of NCCIH, panels with speakers from across the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other federal agencies. The afternoon working sessions provided opportunities to discuss the importance of whole person health research and the role the Coalition can play to support NCCIH. Osteopathic attendees included Drs. Matthew Cannon (VCOM Carolinas), Tim Kowalski (VCOM Carolinas), Brian Degenhardt (ASTU-KCOM), Catherine Donahue (MSUCOM) and Darcy Steinburg, MPH (AOA).
