Fund Your Medical Education Research: Apply for an AACOM Grant

Research grant proposals are due March 1, 2021.

Apply for AACOM's annual, highly competitive . Topics of particular interest include those that identify the distinctive features of osteopathic medical education; assess the impact technology and analytics are having on teaching, learning, assessment and faculty development; and advance the core competencies, Entrustable Professional Activities and milestones that prepare medical students for residency. Primary investigators must be educators at a US college of osteopathic medicine.

Awards up to $10,000

Grant awardees are eligible to receive up to $5,000 for a single program or small collaborative study, and up to $10,000 for a collaborative study across multiple institutions or programs.

Successful Projects

Priority will be given to projects that provide potential for inter-institutional collaboration. Proposals with specific, feasible strategies for continuing or sustaining the project/activity beyond the grant period will also be given preference.

Past Awardees

have had their research published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, BioMed Central, Medical Science Educator and Clinical Anatomy and have presented their work at conferences, meetings and federal advisory committees.
