Fund Your Medical Education Research: Apply for an AACOM Grant

Research grant proposals are due March 1, 2021.
Apply for AACOM's annual, highly competitive Research Grant Program. Topics of particular interest include those that identify the distinctive features of osteopathic medical education; assess the impact technology and analytics are having on teaching, learning, assessment and faculty development; and advance the core competencies, Entrustable Professional Activities and milestones that prepare medical students for residency. Primary investigators must be educators at a US college of osteopathic medicine.
Awards up to $10,000
Grant awardees are eligible to receive up to $5,000 for a single program or small collaborative study, and up to $10,000 for a collaborative study across multiple institutions or programs.
Successful Projects
Priority will be given to projects that provide potential for inter-institutional collaboration. Proposals with specific, feasible strategies for continuing or sustaining the project/activity beyond the grant period will also be given preference.
Past Awardees
Past awardees have had their research published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, BioMed Central, Medical Science Educator and Clinical Anatomy and have presented their work at conferences, meetings and federal advisory committees.

Proposal Review
