Hands-On Workshop for
Osteopathic Preceptors

This workshop is ideal for educators, MD and DO, who encounter osteopathic students or residents or would like to better enhance their understanding of osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). Facilitated by national experts, this workshop serves as an introduction or reintroduction into osteopathic principles for precepting osteopathic learners both residents and osteopathic medical students. Registration is limited.

Objectives 

  1. Participants will describe elements of an osteopathic learning environment and how to implement them into home institutions. 

  2. Participants will apply concepts of competency-based training to support learners' incorporation of OPP into clinical care. 

  3. Participants will compose a needs assessment and change management plan to strengthen the osteopathic environment at their home institution.
