Watch the Recording of COSGP’s Student Advocacy Webinar: On May 14, 2024, AACOM and the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents hosted an educational webinar on osteopathic student advocacy at the local, state and federal levels. Participants heard directly from student advocacy leaders and members of the AACOM Government Relations team on how they can get involved in advocating for OME policy priorities and contribute to the growth of the profession. Reminder to Apply for HRSA’s Faculty Loan Repayment Program: If you are an eligible faculty member at a health professions school, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Faculty Loan Repayment Program could provide you up to $40,000 to repay educational loans. In exchange, you commit to two years of full- or part-time service as a faculty member at an eligible school. The application closes Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 7:30 PM ET. HRSA Accepting Applications for the STAR Loan Repayment Program: If you are a licensed behavioral healthcare professional trained in substance use disorders, you can apply to the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) and receive up to $250,000 in loan repayment. In exchange, you must work full-time for six years in a STAR LRP-approved facility. Applications close on June 27, 2024, at 7:30 PM ET.
