To advance osteopathic medicine before Congress and the Administration, AACOM engaged the services of Crossroads Strategies, LLC (CRS), a bipartisan, multi-disciplinary federal relations, advocacy and advisory firm based in Washington, DC. CRS will join Venable as outside consultants who expand the voice and influence of the AACOM Government Relations team.
“AACOM is excited to announce our partnership with CRS,” says AACOM Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Health Affairs David Bergman, JD. “Through this new collaboration, we will accelerate our ability to drive change in Congress, the Administration and federal agencies.”
“We are looking forward to working with the AACOM family to ensure that the critical voices of osteopathic institutions are heard in Washington as we work towards a healthier future for all Americans. And we are excited to work with and on behalf of your community, helping every member play a pivotal role in alleviating the healthcare workforce challenges that lie ahead. Together we can have a meaningful impact in shaping a resilient and robust healthcare landscape,” said Brittany Hernandez, executive vice president, CRS.
Founded in 2010 by longtime advocacy industry veterans, the CRS team is deeply connected with key federal agency staff, top levels of Capitol Hill and the healthcare industry. CRS professionals have significant experience representing a diverse range of hospitals and health centers, life sciences companies, healthcare providers, patient advocacy organizations, nonprofits and other stakeholders engaged in the healthcare space. Additionally, with several former Appropriations Committee clerks and former staff for current Appropriations Committee members, CRS enjoys unparalleled capabilities to work within the complex appropriations process. CRS will strategically leverage these relationships and extensive policy expertise to provide the insight and mapping necessary to help AACOM strengthen the osteopathic voice.
