Osteopathic Medical College Enrollment 2025-2026

This report summarizes 2025–26 enrollment by class year across 67 osteopathic medical colleges and campuses. Some key findings include:

• Total enrollment reached 40,806 students. This included 11,538 first-year, 10,410 second-year, 9,671 third-year and 9,187 fourth-year students.

• First-year students represented the largest class. They accounted for 28.3% of total enrollment and outnumbered fourth-year students by 2,351, or 25.6%, reflecting continued expansion in osteopathic medical education capacity.

• Four campuses enrolled more than 1,000 students. NYITCOM Long Island reported the largest enrollment at 1,288, followed by PCOM with 1,104, KCU-COM with 1,079 and LECOM with 1,064.

• Enrollment was broadly distributed across colleges and campuses. The ten largest locations accounted for 25.3% of total enrollment. Average enrollment was 609 students per location, with a median of 628.

• Several campuses are still developing their full four-year cohorts. Eight locations reported no enrollment in at least one upper-year class. Together, these locations enrolled 915 first-year students, representing 7.9% of all first-year enrollment.
