PACT Act Offers Opportunity for VA Partnerships:
The Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022 authorizes appropriations of $998 million for 31 major medical facility leases through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The PACT Act allows the VA to lease space from approved Academic Affiliates, including COMs, to provide healthcare resources to veterans. Through these leases, VA Affiliates gain a closer working relationship and expanded research opportunity with the VA. For more information about the PACT Act, lease application process and the benefits to VA Academic Affiliates, see this VA Overview.
