AACOM Announces 2022 Excellence in Communications Award Winners

Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine recognized for their outstanding publications and products

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Bethesda, MD) – Today, the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) opened its annual conference, Educating Leaders, the largest gathering of osteopathic medical education (OME) professionals in the nation, by announcing its 2022 Excellence in Communications (EOC) Awards. The EIC Awards are designed to recognize the important role communications plays in advancing osteopathic medical education and the profession.

“Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine and their students are doing amazing work in and out of the classroom and it is extremely important for our profession to highlights these achievements to the general public,” says AACOM President and CEO Robert A. Cain, DO. “The marketing and communications professionals at all our member colleges are extremely dedicated and produce high quality products and initiatives to promote and support the work happening at their schools. AACOM is proud to recognize and honor them for their efforts.”

Each year, entries are reviewed, and award winners are chosen by an expert panel of judges based on creativity and effectiveness in achieving the project's stated objective related to the mission of the submitting osteopathic medical school. The first-place winners in each category are as follows:

  • Advertising: Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Annual Report: Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Feature Story- West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Serial Publication- Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Social Media- Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine 
  • Student Recruitment Campaign- A.T. Still University
  • Video- Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine
