WFE - Workforce Expansion

Workforce Expansion is focused on addressing workforce needs across child health, maternal and child health, mental health, primary care, and social and behavioral sciences. The initiative seeks to expand and strengthen the capacity of health professionals and systems to better meet population health needs that intersect pediatric, maternal, behavioral and primary care domains.

The Workforce Expansion effort is at the intersection of clinical education, system-level workforce development and community-responsive health services. By anchoring the work within a medical education and health systems science framework, the project emphasizes preparing clinicians and allied professionals with competencies that span clinical care, population health perspectives and integrated behavioral health approaches.
